Hi Reader,

As this year comes to a close, I want to offer you something that isn’t a goal-setting exercise, a worksheet, or a list of things you “should” do next.

Just a pause.

Because most people don’t struggle to move forward because they lack ambition or discipline -
they struggle because they’re carrying things that quietly drain them.

Unfinished decisions.
Lingering doubts.
Old stories about what should be working by now.

Before you start thinking about what you want to build next year, here’s the question I’ve been sitting with myself:

What am I ready to stop dragging into the new year with me?

Not what you’re fixing.
Not what you’re pushing harder on.
What you’re releasing.

This year stretched me in ways I didn’t anticipate.

What I’m leaving behind in 2025 is the belief that I have to hold everything - emotionally, professionally, energetically - simply because I’m capable of it.

I’ve learned that I can still be committed, driven, and deeply invested in my work without carrying what isn’t actually mine.

That clarity alone feels like momentum.

And I know I’m not the only one.

You don’t need a massive reset to move forward - sometimes momentum comes from putting something down, not adding something new.

That might look like:

• A version of your business that no longer fits
• A strategy you’ve outgrown but keep forcing
• A belief that you’re “behind” or late or missed your moment

If this year asked more of you than you expected, you’re not alone. And if you’re heading into the new year craving clarity, steadiness, and decisions that actually feel aligned, that’s a powerful place to begin.

Take today to close the loop - gently, honestly - and give yourself permission to start the next chapter a little lighter.

And if your next step becomes clearer tomorrow, you’ll be ready to meet it.
